Art is a popular and successful subject as seen in the many displays throughout the College where students and staff take pride in their work. All areas of the National Curriculum are delivered mainly through project work with knowledge and skills being acquired and consolidated continually.

Groupings
Each group has one double lesson per week.

You will be taught in mixed ability tutor groups from Year 7 - 9 in well resourced specialist art rooms.

Assessment
Drawing from direct observation is very important and you will be encouraged to keep a sketchbook. Homework is set and marked weekly. In class students are provided with opportunities to explore a variety of processes including painting, printing, clay modelling and sculpture.

You will need to provide yourself with a sketchbook.
